CCRC Medtech General Manager Julia Yuan to Spearhead Key Discussions at SRS2025 International Summit on Medical Device Regulation and Telesurgery

Julia Yuan, General Manager of CCRC Medtech, has been invited by the internationally renowned surgical research institute IRCAD to participate in the Society of Robotic Surgery (SRS) 2025 Annual Conference, held from July 16–20 in Strasbourg, France. As a global expert in medical device regulations, she will take on roles as a standard-setting participant and panelist in core sessions on medical device regulation and telesurgery, contributing China’s practical insights to global regulatory harmonization and technological innovation. She will engage in in-depth discussions with top global experts on regulatory trends and technological advancements in robotic-assisted surgical devices (RASD) and digital surgery.

Academic Breakthrough: Leading High-Level Dialogue on Telesurgery Safety

On July 19, Ms. Yuan will participate in the exclusive “Telesurgery” closed-door summit, a high-level session reserved for leading global surgeons and industry leaders. She will contribute to the harmonization of international telesurgery standards, focusing on technical specifications, regulatory frameworks, and safety protocols to promote standardized implementation.

During the session, Ms. Yuan will systematically address key controversies in device certification, cybersecurity, and cross-jurisdictional liability allocation for telesurgery. Leveraging CCRC Medtech’s registration expertise in brain-computer interfaces and neurointerventional technologies, she will propose actionable compliance pathways to ensure safe advancement in this field, fostering a scientific and standardized development model.

Multidimensional Engagement in Core Medical Device Regulatory Topics, Shaping Global Standards

As a key speaker in Plenary Session 2: Medical Device Regulation, Ms. Yuan will participate in three critical discussions on July 16, covering global regulatory frameworks, clinical data compliance, and international collaboration:

Session 1: Global RASD and Digital Surgery Regulatory Review: Featuring EU, Greater China, Brazil, Chile

Ms. Yuan will analyze Greater China’s innovative medical device approval pathways and strategies for harmonizing international multicenter clinical trials. Drawing on CCRC Medtech’s Asia-Pacific experience, she will share innovative solutions for balancing localized data requirements with global technical standards, helping companies overcome cross-border registration barriers.

Session 2: Clinical Data, Testing, and Indications for use in RASD
Addressing common pain points in RASD clinical validation, Ms. Yuan will lead discussions on local data requirements for high-risk devices and variations in trial design standards, emphasizing the use of digital tools and big data analytics for real-time tracking of multinational regulatory updates.

Session 4: Global Regulatory Considerations
In this closing session, Ms. Yuan will propose an ecosystem blueprint integrating unified technical standards with local adaptability, advocating for cross-regional regulatory mutual recognition to accelerate global access to innovative medical technologies.
